La Camerata Madrigal Singers was formed 1n 1986
to provide a new and unique form of entertainment for Central
Nebraska. This group performs each Thanksgiving weekend
with pageantry and song in a 16th century Yuletide feast and
formal concert. The members transform the banquet hall
into a medieval-looking castle, complete with Christmas trees
and an armored knight sentry. Dinner guests enjoy a
four-course feast serenaded by three hours of madrigal and
period music. Singers stroll by
the dinner tables clad in ornate Elizabethan costumes.
Actors entertain the guests with humorous stories and
plays. The performance is widely known as a heartwarming beginning
to the holiday season. La Camerata Madrigal Singers is
proud to maintain a high musical standard in the performing arts
of Central Nebraska.
